THE PROGRAM OF THE XVII EDITION

Monday 26 August

5 p.m. - COGNE, Piazza Chanoux

Opening ceremony of the XVII Gran Paradiso Film Festival

Llahié
A performance piece involving poetry, dance and theatre on the theme of water and the observaton of nature. A duet: a man and a woman meet and form a bond. They each carve their own shape into the other's body, just as the glacier does with its valley. The latter remains connected to the glacial mass, which once shaped it; the glacier still nurtures the valley with its rivers and brooks. Inner world and the forces shaping the physical elements, the divine presence in all things: the words of Meister Eckhart echo against the backdrop of the majestic Sant'Orso Meandows and the Tribulazione Glacier, which seems so towering and yet is so fragile.

By Teatro Instabile di Aosta.

Stambecco d’Oro Flash mob in the Sant'Orso Meadows
A living, moving image representing the ibex, symbol of the Festival; a collective action, where everyone gets involved with colours and music. The participants will take part in an animation-effect which will be filmed, and the video screened during the award ceremony.

By the artist Anna Biancardi.
