The Gran Paradiso Film Festival entrusts the opening message to Massimo Gramellini
'Nature is taken for granted, especially in this country, where we are blessed with favorable climate, amazing landscapes and enormous nature riches. I frequently see the beauty if Italy's nature in the eyes of the foreigners, but even though we are sitting right amidst it we just don't see it. At the very least we aren't always attuned to it. We don't understand that such wonder is entirely free, at our disposal, and we could take advantage of it to find new inspiration in our lives. The few good ideas I came up with came to me while I was taking a walk in nature.'
These are the words of the journalist and writer Massimo Gramellini, extracted from the interview realized on Monday 29 August in the newsroom of 'La Stampa', on the occasion of the conferral of the 'Bouquetin - Stambecco d'Oro Trophy'. The video, featuring TV host Fabio Fazio interviewing Massimo Gramellini, will open the XVII edition of the Gran Paradiso Film Festival and its International Competition, simultaneaously at all the Festival screening venues.
A plaque bearing the names and the words of the guest stars of this year's Festival will be placed at the Miners' Village in Cogne. This is the first step to build a Hall of Fame with all the interpretations of Nature proposed by the Friends of the 'Stambecco d'Oro' throughout the years.
